Opening of Clara Handball Alley
1974
First Committee elected in Clara in October
1975
First Handball adult League held in the parish involving 30 players with Michael McCarron defeating Michael Todd in the final in November
1976
Michael McCarron and Michael Ryan were selected by the county board to represent Monaghan in the Novice 60×30 Ulster Championship and the National League
1977
Michael McCarron claims the County Championship – the first from the club as he won the 60×30 Novice Singles title
1979
The club win the Ulster Novice 60×30 Club Championship defeating Eugene Quinns H.C. of Armagh – Winning team Eugene O Hagan, Michael McCarron, Cathal Higgins and Anthony Cadden. The club were defeated in The All Ireland Semi Final by Castlebar H.C. from Mayo.
Michael McCarron and Terry Cooney (Ballybay) teamed up to win the Ulster 60×30 Junior Handball Doubles Championship
1980
The Club finished second in the South Ulster League with Cavan the eventual Winners
