CUMANN NA BUNSCOIL FINALS

Knockconan NS defeated Tydavnet NS in a close fought and thrilling Div 4 Final in St. Mary’s Park, Castleblayney.  The sides were level at half time with both sides playing some great football.  The second half was nip and tuck, with Tydavnet going into the lead and then Knockconan coming back to level.  Both sides had the chances to win it but the Ballyoisin boys prevailed on a score of 2-06 to 1-07.  Congratulations to all the squad and Mr. Michael Buckley, Team Manager, and hard luck to a gallant Tydavnet team.  Included in the photos are the team, Shea McKenna, Team Captain, receiving the Cup, Mr. Michael Buckley, Team Manager and chief supporter Mrs Fran Boyle.

Edenmore NS were defeated in their Div 3 Final by a very strong Mullaghrafferty side.  The Edenmore lads fought all the way to the final whistle but it wasn’t enough on the day.  It was a great effort by the boys and their Manager Barry Cuddy to reach the final in what was a very strong competition.
